The Business of Storytelling with Sloane Heffernan Presented by Mitchell Heating & Cooling, Inc.

Event Sponsors

Presenting Sponsor
Mitchell Heating & Cooling, Inc.

Storytelling can enrich and transform a customer's experience. A story also has the power to build loyalty and trust. On May 6, Emmy Award winning journalist Sloane Heffernan of WRAL-TV will help you identify your brand story and craft a compelling narrative that will help you connect with your audience and grow business. During this workshop, you'll learn how to identify, craft and deliver a powerful story on various digital platforms with a limited budget in mind.

This workshop is perfect for small business owners, marketing and social media professionals, those in the nonprofit arena, and more. Anyone who wants to tell their story better will benefit from attending this workshop!

This will be a virtual workshop. You can join us one of two ways: Stream the workshop from your home or business office, or watch the workshop on the big screen in the Wake Forest Chamber's Conference Room. If choosing to watch at the Chamber, space is limited. Please contact Carol Fekaris to reserve a seat.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Sloane is a two-time Emmy Award winning journalist with a passion for storytelling. For the last decade, she has been sharing stories as a reporter at WRAL-TV. Before planting roots in the Triangle, Sloane worked as an anchor and reporter at NBC affiliates in Florida and Georgia. Sloane is a graduate of Emerson College in Boston where she received her Bachelors of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism. Her passion for journalism was born from her time observing sports reporters on the sidelines as a member of the New England Patriots Cheerleading Squad. Sloane is married to her high school sweetheart Mark, and they have
three young children. When she is not chasing the big story of the day, she enjoys sharing her story-telling skills with business leaders and non-profit organizations to help them more effectively connect with their audience and build lasting relationships.
