 Our guest presenter is Michelle A. Nelson, Principal of Ascend Communications & Coaching, a communications strategy consultancy. Michelle is a communications expert with more than 20 years of experience across a wide variety of industries and nonprofits, including the Department of Health and Human Services, Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation, Bristol-Myers Squibb, DSM Fine Chemicals, and Seton Hall University. Early in her career, Michelle worked in account management for some of the most notable advertising agencies to help market well-known consumer and healthcare products such as Enfamil infant formula and Detrol.

Through her varied experiences and roles, Michelle developed a strong aptitude for communications, specializing in employee engagement, change-management, and marketing communications. Michelle’s work in communications has earned her several leadership awards and peer recognition.
