Wake Forest CROP Hunger Walk 2018
39th Annual Wake Forest CROP Hunger Walk – Sunday, September 23, 2018 What is It? Either a 1.5K walk or a 5K walk on sidewalks in Wake Forest. Walkers will raise money for food and other resources for families in the Wake Forest area and around the world. • Also, please bring non-perishable food donations to the sign-in table. Who walks? People from Wake Forest and the surrounding areas: religious communities, businesses, schools, non-profit agencies, organizations, or any individuals who want to help support those in need. When? Registration and pre-walk activities for walkers will begin at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, September 23. Step-off together will be at 2:30 p.m. Where? The walk will begin/end at the Wake Forest Historical Museum, 414 N. Main Street, Wake Forest. How? Walk participants will invite their friends, businesses, organizations, and employers to support them with money contributions before the date of the walk. Also, walkers may donate money on the day of the walk. Who benefits? Church World Service (www.cwsglobal.org), established in 1946, will distribute money from CROP Hunger Walk to self-help global food and water projects and to disaster relief in more than 30 countries as well as in the USA. This year 25% of funds raised will help support Wake Forest Tri-Area Ministry (www.triareaministry.com) and Wake Forest Hope House, Inc. (www.hopehousewf.org) How to help?
