Page 158 Books welcomes Hope Anderson to discuss her book When the Moon Winks. When her husband of 30 years leaves her, Helen Ferry must find a way to cope with the emptiness left behind. At first, she sets out to reclaim her old life; then, given wise advice, she begins a journey towards a newer, brighter version of herself.
Hope Andersen is a graduate of Wellesley College and Yale Divinity School. She began writing novels in 2015 at the age of 60. Her debut novel The Book Sisters was released in 2017. When the Moon Winks, her second novel, published by Warren Publishing, will be followed in Fall 2020 by its sequel Where the Wind Blows. Hope is also a poet and has published one collection of poems to date Taking in Air. She is at work on a memoir, due for release by Pipevine Press in Spring 2020. A native New Englander, Hope now lives in North Carolina with her husband Thom. They have three grown children, two dogs, and a cat.
