2011 Leadership Wake Forest

Event Description
Leadership Wake Forest is a comprehensive program designed to engage, cultivate and motivate individuals interested in sharpening their leadership skills through relationship building and resources within the Wake Forest area. Participants will actively participate in the selection and development of each monthly session to expand leadership skills, community experience, community knowledge, contacts and friendships.
Participants will be provided a large list of topic possiblities and collectively the class will narrow the topics to be those areas of collective interest. Information will be presented through panel discussions, on-site tours, hands-on activities, simulations, team discussions and informal Q&A sessions.
Program Goals:
o Enhance the participants' knowledge of and commitment to the Wake Forest area and to make their involvement more effective.
o Develop leadership skills and form relationships that will benefit their professional and volunteer careers.
o Stimulate an understanding of the forces and trends affecting the development of the community, and to enhance the ability of participants to work together for the advancement of Wake Forest.
o Bring together people who welcome the opportunity to expand their involvement in community affairs and are willing to assume leadership positions.
